A sedimentary rock composed mainly of calcium carbonate, Limestone are often formed in lake beds and contain plant and animal fossils. Limestone does not generally polish and has a serene earthy look. Limestone is widely used in bathrooms, since it is more porous than marble it is not recommended for kitchen worktops.
