Why are Granite Worktops So Popular?

Granite worktops, primarily made of quartz and feldspar with traces of other minerals, boast exceptional durability due to their formation under intense pressure from cooled magma. This unique composition makes granite highly sought-after for various uses around the home and commercial spaces. Notably hard and low in porosity, granite resists staining and is easy to maintain, ensuring a hygienic and long-lasting surface.

This makes it the perfect material for both bathroom countertops and kitchen worktops alike.

Granite Countertops Bristol, Bathroom Furnishings and More

Granite worktops are composed mainly of quartz and feldspar with minor amounts of mica, amphiboles, and other minerals. Its composition along with the way it is formed underground under extreme pressures from cooled magma gives it its properties that make it a sought-after material for kitchen, bathroom, and commercial uses. Granite is extremely hard for a natural stone, and it is not very porous, making it easy to keep looking great and hygienic.

Granite is also one of the most water-resistant of all natural stones, making it highly resistant to staining, though we do recommend removing possible causes of stains from the stone as promptly as possible to fully maintain the look of your granite surface. This makes it the perfect material for both bathroom vanity countertops and new kitchen countertops alike.

Each granite kitchen top is a one-of-a-kind piece of nature.

Granite worktops are entirely unique and will look different based on the conditions of its formation. Each piece of granite is a one-of-a-kind piece. There are many colour options available for granite and we recommend visiting our workshop in person to view all options.

There are so many reasons why granite kitchen worktops have experienced so much popularity, but it is also a great material for the bathroom, and for bespoke commercial projects.
